Millers Fly-In Plainview, TX 2004

Once again the folks at Millers put on a great weekend for us. Friday arrivals were treated to a fantastic BBQ by Cody at the airport along with pleanty of cold refreshments. It was a great time to meet old and new friends.

On Saturday, it was time to head back to Millers for the very informative maintenence seminar that Dwayne puts on every year. He has been at Millers for 33 1/2 years now. If you have not made it to one of these seminars you have no idea the wealth of information that you are missing out on.

For those of us that stayed over Saturday night, Marlon was kind enough to have us over to the Elk’s Club for a great dinner and some ol hangar talk.

Dinner Friday night in one of Millers Hangars

Dwayne explaining about the Turbo exhaust and where to look for cracks. This one broke off.

On a non-turbo, spray some WD-40 on the outside at the welds and look inside to see if it is cracked.

Take the scissors off your gear and insert two long bolts (one at each end).

Pull the scissors together and if they look anything like this, they are bent.
